Go Green Youth Challenge
Give a Little to Grow a Lot

Youth can make a real impact on Michigan's environment!

Have you ever wondered what we can do to build greener communities? It's simple, plant trees!

Look at all the cool things trees do:

  • Habitat & food for birds, wildlife, insects
  • Provide oxygen
  • Clean water & air
  • Keep our houses cool
  • Places to play & climb
  • And much more!

Trees can make our cities and towns great places to live. Will you help us plant trees in Michigan? Any youth preK-12 can participate in the Go Green Youth Challenge. The best part is your participation will make a lasting impact for years to come and all you have to do is give a little!

The Go Green Youth Challenge is a statewide initiative to engage youth in environmental stewardship, community development and service-learning by participating in a campaign to plant trees in Michigan. Youth are challenged to collect coins as an individual, classroom or club. The coins collected will directly fund community tree plantings. Tree planting sites include school yards, cities and towns, and conservation areas such as stream bank stabilization and habitat restoration.

Youth can make a real impact on Michigan's environment. By collecting pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars too, youth are creating a greener Michigan to live, work and play!

Here's How:

  1. Collect spare change January 16th to April 9th, 2012
  2. Have an adult write a check for the amount collected to ECD-Michigan Arbor Day Alliance. It is important that Go Green Youth Challenge is in the memo line.
  3. Print and fill out the Go Green Youth Challenge Entry Form
  4. To be eligible for the Grand Prize and Size Category Prizes donations must be postmarked by April 13th.
  5. Send your check and Go Green Youth Challenge Entry Form to:
ECD-Michigan Arbor Day Alliance
