Where does your money go?
You have decided to spend time collecting pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollars too, for trees. That's great, but you might be wondering where trees will be planted.
Michigan Arbor Day Alliance in partnership with communities across the state will plant trees in:
-
School Yards
-
Cities and Towns
-
Conservation areas: stream bank stabilization, habitat restoration, etc.

Pictures from a recent tree planting project. Trees were planted at a neighborhood playground.
Imagine playing outside at school and being able to take a break under a nice shade tree or eating your lunch outside under a canopy of trees. Many cities and towns across Michigan have lost trees to Emerald Ash Borer, an exotic beetle that kills trees, and are struggling to replant the trees they have lost. Other communities, like Dundee, have lost more trees than they have the ability to replant due to a tornado. By planting trees along stream banks we can help create stronger natural areas that keep our rivers clean and cool for fish to live in. Your choice to Give a Litte will truly Grow a Lot!
Everyone who participates in the Go Green Youth Challenge is a winner!
You can provide your input on where trees should be planted in Michigan. Every participant will receive a survey asking where you think we should plant trees. When you fill out your participation form make sure you include an email so we can send the survey to you. Your answers will help determine where we plant trees! It's that simple.
Did we mention there are Incentives, Awards, and a Grand Prize?!
Incentives, awards and special offers are based on the size of the participating group.
Grand Prize!
